Hey everyone! I’m thrilled to share a beautiful wedding I recently had the honor of photographing in Mission, BC. Taylor and Gabe’s wedding was a day filled with love, laughter, and a touch of enchantment.
The day started with Taylor getting her hair and makeup done by the incredibly talented team at HKF Studio in Abbotsford, BC. If you haven’t heard of them, you should definitely check them out at www.hkfstudio.ca. They did an amazing job, and Taylor looked absolutely stunning!
The ceremony took place at Northview Community Church in Mission. It was a hot day, but that didn’t stop me from capturing all the special moments. Taylor and Gabe exchanged their vows in front of their family, and I was able to get some beautiful family portraits right at the church.
After the ceremony, we escaped the heat by sneaking into the woods at Bear Mountain Bike Park. We found a beautiful, mossy area that felt almost enchanted. It made for a perfect, serene setting for some intimate shots of the newlyweds.
Taylor and Gabe had a small wedding party consisting of their two best friends. I love small wedding parties because they offer a bit more intimacy throughout the day, without the hustle and bustle. We timed the photos perfectly, allowing for some downtime so the couple could relax and truly enjoy their day. There’s nothing worse than feeling rushed on your wedding day!
The reception was held at their family home, where loved ones were entertained by the hilarious Monique Bellamy, a local comedian who served as the MC. She was fantastic and really set a fun, lively tone for the evening. You can find her online at www.moniquebellamycomedy.com.
As golden hour approached, I encouraged all the guests to join me on the lawn for some stunning couple and family photos. I also took the opportunity to capture some additional guest photos with the bride and groom. Taylor and Gabe shared their first dance just before the sun went down, creating a perfect, romantic end to a beautiful day.
Every shot captured the love and joy radiating from Taylor and Gabe. It was truly a special day, and I wish them nothing but an amazing future together as husband and wife. It was an absolute honor being their wedding photographer!
